“HAS ST LUCIA SOLD ITS SOUL TO THE ALL INCLUSIVE”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Visit St Lucia with its beautiful beaches the guide books and tourist web sites tell you. What
they dont say is that the best beaches in St Lucia have been taken over by the all inclusive hotel.
Reduit Beach, Rodney bay is the perfect example The Rex Hotel sprawls along 2/3 of the beach,
if you walk on the beach infront of the hotel you are constantly questioned as to your intentions,
because of the all inclusive nature of the hotels you can not buy a drink or have lunch in a
bar along a large portion of the beach. Le Sport hotel at Anse Du Cap beach has taken over
the whole of the beach and at one point padlocked the public right of way to the beach. All
beaches in St Lucia are open to the public but the attitude of the hotels trying to offer their clients
an 'exclusive' beach experience is the opposite making it as difficult as possible to access the
beaches. St Lucia is an Island of too many rules.

“Beautiful beach”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Busy when cruise ships are in. Don't pay more than 25 EC$ for two sun beds and umbrella. Good even in the rain!

We enjoyed our dinner at spinnakers restaurant. Reasonable pricing and good food. The view was very pretty of the harbor at night.

“Great happy hours”

Rodney Bay is the place you escape to when you want a city vibe. Great restaurants, great cheap drinks. Try the Indian restaurant. The decor and food are amazing!
