“Nice bakery nearby!”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

The square has some attractive old buildings on the right hand side as you face the cathedral from the square, and a big tree, but apart from that not particularly inspiring. We did rather like the bakery which is down Laborie Street. Stand in front of the cathedral facing the square and it's on you left about 100m off the corner of the square. To get to it you'll pass the entrance to a nice local cafe/restaurant which has a balcony area at first floor level - great for getting a drink and watching the activity around the square.

“Locked”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

The square looked pretty but the gates were padlocked shut the two times we went there. As such, we didn't go in.

“a few well preserved colonial building. otherwise run-down”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

10 minutes to make a round is more than enough. Saturdays are local market, so crazy crowds first half of Saturdays.

“Don't bother with this square”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

The square was chained closed so you could only peek in from the sidewalk. It doesn't appear to be kept up or even used.
