We had the most wonderful time in St Lucia with Cosol Tours. After the day, you will sleep extremely well. We picked our own bananas & mangoes, ate traditional local foods, took a water taxi and snorkelled between the pitons (which was breathtaking), went to the fishing villages and ordered some cheese bread that still has my mouth watering, and so so much more. You could not ask for a better day and like many others have stated Yellow Bird is the best!!

What a great day! Everything about the tour was wonderful: the guide (Fatman!!), sites, pace/schedule, information, transportation, professionalism, beer/drinks and the food! I wasn't hungry until the next day after all the food and drinks. This tour is a steal for what is included. Great job Cosol tours!

We were on the tour during our New Years Cruise on the Carnival Victory. We had Yellowbird as our tour guide and like many have mentioned here, he is an excellent guide. His passion for his island is apparent in everything he says and does during his tour. For the price we paid I don't know how they are able to offer the tour that they do. We have been on other tours and paid as much and not been provided food or the number of stops that we had during this tour. No need to bring drinks or food for this trip or worry where you will buy food along the way - everything is provided. One suggestion I would have for future visitors would be to bring along some small bills to purchase the goods that are available along the side of the road at many of the stops you will have. The island has a very high unemployment rate and this is how the people supplement their income and provide for their families. No handouts here - they work for what they have or they don't have it.

As well as being a fantastic tour it is easy to see that Yellowbird is well respected on the island - I felt very safe at every stop and it seemed it was partly because we were with Yellowbird. One other thing to note that warmed my heart was how Yellowbird took care of the people he comes in contact with. Extra bananas were given to children along the road, extra bread and cheese were given to a little girl at one of the stores. We stopped to pick up cookies at one of the local houses and therefore supplementing her income.

We stopped at a banana plantation, a lookout to view the Pitons, we spent an hour or so at Jalousie beach, we were able to stop at the lava pool and had time to go into it - from what I understand this may not be available on all tours and will depend on the time. We also stopped at the waterfall and anyone willing to go into the falls could. We also stopped at Marigot Bay lookout. All along the way the local plants were pointed out.

One final note, this tour is not intended for mobility impaired guests unless you are able to negotiate a different stop from the beach between the Pitons. Guests are required to step down into a water taxi from a very high dock and step off the water taxi onto a wooden ladder leading to the dock and the reverse going back.

My husband booked this Cosol tour during a cruise we took to several Caribbean islands. We had been to St. Lucia before and this, by far, is THE way to see the island. Cosol is the owner of the tour....and we rode with Yellow Bird, his brother. He is absolutely passionate about his island and you can find no better tour guide that him. Highly recommend asking for him for your tour. Bus tour (11 of us on the bus), personalized unique stops including the wonderful "bread and cheese" bakery stop (we didn't exit the bus, Yellow Bird brought us the treat, and how delightful and delicious it was!). He took time along the winding (read: hairpin curve) roads for great photo stops. The banana plantation side-of-the-road stop was informative. The catered luncheon of local foods was experiential. Believe we had at least 8 specific and unique venues in this 7+ hour trip. It is not to be missed, a great value, and a memory that will last a lifetime. Enjoy!

We stopped in St.Lucia on our cruise ship and I had pre-reserved a Cosol Tour by e-mail. Cosol himself met us outside the cruise terminal and with 7 others we set off with Cosol driving and giving us a real insight into St.Lucia. Everything from schools to industry, from bananas to beach all the time coming out with amusing anecdotes. We stopped for breakfast which was a real feast of local, very tasty dishes. Then onto the "drive-in" volcano, a waterfall, and a water taxi to the beach between the Pitons (absolutely beautiful). After an hour the water taxi returned to bring us back to the mini-bus. Thence onto lunch of warm/hot bread and cheese(delightful) and a scenic drive back to the cruise terminal.
Cosol stops frequently for pictures to be taken, beer, rum punch etc. to be consumed. This tour at only $65 has to be incredible value at around 7/8 hours long and we would recommend it very highly to anyone..
