It's a nice view but such a pain to get to that it's not worth it in my mind. If you do go plan on staying all day and spending money there as they won't let you go through their property to get to the beach unless you say you're going to spend money. They never checked so I'm sure you could get away with not spending anything but just so you know. They make you park at a tennis court and then shuttle you down to the beach.

This beach is between the Pitons so there are nice views. The beach is in front of a very high end resort but there is an area where there are free beach chairs. The drive is on a decent paved road but it is steep. The snorkeling is nice. Not as many fish as we'd like but nice coral gardens. The resort has you park above the resort, but they do have shuttles to take you down to the beach. There is a nice, short board walk into the tropical forest along the way. The boardwalk ends at the beach. There is a small gift shop and a place to get drinks.

Jalousie Beach aka Sugar beach is situated right in between the two Pitons. The bay was calm and the beach was empty. We did not stay here long since the stop was a part of a day long St. Lucia tour but I would definitely make a trip back to St. Lucia and stay at this beach. We captured some great photos here and then went up to the Tet Paul Nature Trail and captured a photo of the bay from above.

We spent a week on the Island and visited Jalousie (sugar beach) 6 times. it is quiet, pieceful, and well maintained. My 3 children and myself stayed at the Fond Doux Plantation and enjoyed our beach time at this beach. i liked the fact that there was a safe area for the swimming and the boats. No one bothered us on the beach for selling products or services. There is a great restaurant to get lunch (it was expensive but good) There was clean washrooms and showers.
if you wanted to go wind sailing or snorkling that service was offered. Worth the trip for the view if you are in the area.
