Worth the admission price for the great hike. Also you can rent beach chairs and not be hassled by the vendors like outside the park. Lunch at the restaurant was perfect every time. Just expect some slower service. Great snorkelling for the kids and adults.

we got there around 10 am and stayed until 2 pm when it was getting very hot. great walking grounds around the fort and the beachfront. the view is well worth the hike up to the fort or the higher peak which was a little more challenging but for that view its well worth the climb. nice beach area if you want to stay longer. you should for sure have lunch at jambe de bois but plan about an hour. service is slooooww but food is worth it

We went here around 10 am ish and climbed both peaks and the views were spectacular ! It was already hot so I wouldn't suggest doing I any later ! There is a small beach in the park and we went for a swim to cool down. Apparently there was good snorkelling. They have little stands where you can buy drinks but by the entrance to the park a little up the hill to your right there is a small pub with benches outside.

This place needs better management. They charge all the tourists 16 ECs ( or about 6 USD) and only 6 EC for locals. The locals don't need to pay anything and there is no security around inside. If/When you want the beach chairs, there are actually vendors inside to charge you more The beach was closed for a "private event" on a public beach (all beach are supposedly public.) and we actually paid money to get in. How's that for law and order. A national park beach closed for private event and the beach wasn't even that impressive.

Don't feel welcome here, and don't go. The views are not worth the entrance fee and they really do need better management or just more disciplined workers.

Rude, not worth it and watch out for your personal belongings as well.

While staying at the Sandals Grande St Lucia we walked over to Pigeon Island National Park. Our first walk over was on a Sunday and there was an International Food Festival going on and the place was occupied by locals to the point of a line extending way into the access road to get in. We decided to wait until Monday to take a hike up to the fort. It was well worth it. It costs $6 a person to enter. We went early to avoid the heat, however it was STILL hot. They do not open until 9 so the heat was already rising when we entered the park. The walk up to the fort was pretty easy, although we did take the step way up. It is well graded, and easy access, and a fair amount of shade. Great views. The other peak was not as well graded, although easy compared to New England granite. Not as much shade and HOT. Both walks are not very long, and great views and very enjoyable. Go early or late, although the park opens at 9 and closes at 6, so you will still have a fair amount of warm air. Bring water. Nice local attraction. Highly recommend.
