“Fabulous, Zen-like decor with the best food”
Reviewed November 19, 2009

My daughter just was married at Le Sereno, so we experienced the hotel's food service and rooms. The management was caring, professional and perfectionist. The food was elegant and measured up to Parisian cuisine. The rooms were understated and beautiful. Of course, It was St. Barth, so nothing was cheap. But I can't imagine a more perfect place for a wedding or romantic visit.

We stayed one week in may, everyone here made our stay enjoyable and everyone was very nice & friendly. The staff took care of our reservations at the restaurants, for the snorkeling, etc. it made our stay very relaxing!
We will higher recommend to any of our friends traveling to St Barts to stay at Le Sereno

My wife and I chose this place for our honeymoon. Our overall experience with Le Sereno was great. June is during the slow season for St. Barth's so we got upgraded to the Grand Suite Plage. We took a look at the Suite Terrase and I don't think I would have been able to stay there since it was so small. The bedroom was tiny! But, we had a great room and great view of the Cul de Sac, so it didn't matter. The service was absolutely wonderful (again, maybe because it was the slow season). But, the workers there were all so nice, it didn't feel like we were staying at a hotel, but with friends. Also, going during the slow season was great because almost the entire time, we were the only ones in the pool/restaurant/beach. Le Sereno is very modern and clean. They just got refurbished recently, so everything was nice and new. The only thing is that they are building suites up above the hotel, so it was a bit of an eyesore and noisy, but no big deal. As for value, it was a bit expensive compared to other islands. #1 you are paying Euros, so you lose the during the exchange. Everything is a la carte. There are no inclusive deals. But, we got the special package, so we got a free car, and a few free meals thrown in.

As for the island, St. Barth's is very mountainous and quiet. There is not much to do but hang at the beach enjoy watersports. The main road is very narrow, but worth the terror to get to the beaches. All beaches are public, and beautiful. The main town of Gustavia is small and quaint. If you love food, then you will love this island. There are so many different choices for great food, ranging from casual to elegant.

If you want a place that is quiet, clean, and feel like it is your own resort and don't mind spending a little money for unbelievably delicious food, then Le Sereno is a great place to stay at a great island. Other hotels we considered was Eden Rock and Guanahani Hotel and Spa. The other luxury hotels are Le Toiny, and Isle de France. I would say Eden Rock is in the best location because it splits two of the best beaches (Nikki and St. Jean) Isle de France is on Flamands beach which is beautiful too. Location for Le Sereno isn't the best, (Grand Cul de Sac is a seaweedy lagoon). You basically need to drive everywhere, but everything is only a short 15 minute drive. Oh, and lunch is only open at 1130 the earliest to 2pm... at ALL places and dinner opens usually @ 7pm.

We loved our stay @ Le Sereno, quiet, beautiful, cheaper than other luxury hotels, with great service.

Le Sereno was lovely!!! Staff was excellent, food delicious!(expensive tho) We ate dinner there twice out of our 5 night stay. Nice big room(we were upgraded to a Grand Suite). Enjoyed the beach. It is more like a bay, calm, no waves. You can swim out past the sea grass and just chill in the crystal clear, shallow, warm water!!
Our only regret is that we didn't spend another day just relaxing at the hotel pool/beach. Most days we were off in our jeep exploring the island's beaches. None of them blew us away, however we didn't have the best weather. Also roads are just so bumpy!! Staying put at Le Sereno was definitely our favorite day!

I stayed at Le Sereno for five nights this May. It's pretty fantastic. I've stayed at a lot of nice hotels, but I don't think I've ever felt that pampered. They picked us up from our ferry and drove us to the hotel and then drove us to the airport at departure. They also upgraded us to a beachfront room as the hotel was not fully booked. The rooms are amazing, as are the location and the service. The rooms have very good Internet access and the hotel has a large library of DVDs you can borrow at night. The fitness center is small, but well-maintained and the entire campus is incredibly stylish.

Although Le Sereno is expensive (particularly in high season), I believe it's actually cheaper than the comparable resorts on the island (the Guanahani, Eden Rock, the Gustaf, etc). My only two complaints (and they're small) are:
1) Although the hotel beach is wonderful, the water is not great for swimming as it is only a few feet deep for the first 100 meters or so from shore and infested with seagrass and rocks. There are much better beaches for swimming elsewhere on the island.
2) The hotel restaurant is nice, but expensive. If you want something simple and cheap you'll have to go elsewhere.

We just came back from a 7 night stay at Le sereno, relaxed, refreshed and full of energy. The place is incredible, located literraly on the beach, in a exclusive and quiet spot on the Caribbean, separated from the crowded parts of the island...combine that with a luxurious, modern designed room and a a fully equiped and new facilities: just paradise.
A MUST: don't miss the restaurant Le pecheur at the hotel, try the great fresh fish (taken that mornig...), a glass of wine while seating at a beach table with your feet on the sand...no words for that.
the staff is amazing, professional, gentle and efficient. Ask for Benjamin at the restaurant and

My husband and I were staying at another hotel but wanted to spend an entire afternoon at La Sereno Beach Hotel. We had an elegant lunch, outside, with direct view of the ocean and the balmy winds. It was divine, and so very relaxing. It is true that there is alot of turtle grass as you enter the water, but the water is placid and the perfect temperature. And after a few feet, the water is crystal clear.
You will not be disappointed with an afternoon at La Sereno!
