Description: The restaurant serves a casually elegant Mediterranean Brasserie, taking advantage of the bounty of the Caribbean Sea while incorporating an Italian accent due to the closeness with its sister property in Lake Como and the nationality of the chef and owners. At the helm of Restaurant Le Sereno, Chef Alex Simone will deliver simple and beautifully presented dining experiences. Chef's classic Mediterranean dishes will be elevated with the freshest ingredients and fit perfectly with the restaurant's beachfront setting, including dishes like Steak Tartare and Vitel Toné. The menu will highlight an array of vibrant flavors in dishes like the Poisson en Croute de Sel (fish baked in salt-crust with Lake Como aromatic herbs) and Herb-Crusted Sea Scallops with Saffron. The Italian accent will be seen and tasted throughout the menu, most notably in the restaurant's signature Gnocchi Le Sereno, traditional of Lake Como and made from unprocessed buckwheat flour with a tomato-sage sauce, as sage is the typical aromatic herb of the lake and Chef Simone's famous Lobster Linguine from Il Baretto, here made with fresh local spiny lobster that arrives daily to Le Sereno's private beach.

Since we had enjoyed last year's visit so much we wanted to try it again. WOW! If possible, we enjoyed it even more. This is a most beautiful restaurant on the beach in Grand Cal de Sac.
With a friendly greeting from the hostess we were seated immediately at a wonderful table facing the beach (most all the tables do).
Starting with a couple of cocktails, and moving on to one of our favorite Roses - Miraval, we ordered some starters - vitello tonnato, and tuna tartare - both were perfection.
Next we shared a pasta course - pappardelle with a lamb ragu - delicious, the pasta cooked perfectly al dente.
For the main course my partner enjoyed the veal Milanese, a pounded thin veal chop, breaded and fried, topped with arugula, and tomato - fantastic. I enjoyed perfectly cooked pan-fried halibut - moist and crispy skinned – another great entrée.
Finishing with 2 double espressos and an Espresso Martini, it was spectacular.
Sometime you return to a place to find it isn’t what you remembered. That was the case here, but this time it was so much better.
If you find yourself on St. Barth, I cannot recommend this too strongly; you must visit Le Sereno, a true culinary gem.

I am on cloud nine when i am thinking of this masterpiece lunch.
We had a perfect table facing the beach. We could even see turtles be at sea.
We start with a special from the chief"salmon tartare with oscietra caviar finger lime and quail egg. This dish was so delicate tasty and finally unforgettable in savour.
Than we taste the risotto with red Sicilian carpaccio prawns.A pure fabulous and distinguish main course. Also The homemade linguine pasta lobster was perfectly cooked and juicy.
This meal was perfect from the start to finish. You can believe me this chef is actually the number one in St.Barths.

The location is on of the best beaches on the island and probably the most accessible one. Within a mile you have four of the islands seven best hotels and this one is truly on of them. A great and cozy restaurant with stunning ocean views, small but super menu, and five star service. We loved it and will be back!

Over the years this restaurant has redefined itself many times. This time they hit the mark. The setting is right on a beach. Unfortunately the night we were there it was really windy. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. As an appetizer we shared a tuna tataki. For dinner my husband had a fabulous risotto with a carpaccio of red shrimp. I had the lobster tagliatelle. Sometimes Caribbean lobster is tough but that their preparation. Dessert was awesome. We shared a tiramisu that was unique. Lightly dipped in coffee so it was not overwhelming with a whipped marscapone and chocolate crumbles. Highly recommend dinner here.

Arrived early -- after day of travel--and enjoyed sunset on the beach with glass of wine and small bites from kitchen. Attentive service, good wine selection and salt- crust fish was delicious.
