Since we had enjoyed last year's visit so much we wanted to try it again. WOW! If possible, we enjoyed it even more. This is a most beautiful restaurant on the beach in Grand Cal de Sac.
With a friendly greeting from the hostess we were seated immediately at a wonderful table facing the beach (most all the tables do).
Starting with a couple of cocktails, and moving on to one of our favorite Roses - Miraval, we ordered some starters - vitello tonnato, and tuna tartare - both were perfection.
Next we shared a pasta course - pappardelle with a lamb ragu - delicious, the pasta cooked perfectly al dente.
For the main course my partner enjoyed the veal Milanese, a pounded thin veal chop, breaded and fried, topped with arugula, and tomato - fantastic. I enjoyed perfectly cooked pan-fried halibut - moist and crispy skinned – another great entrée.
Finishing with 2 double espressos and an Espresso Martini, it was spectacular.
Sometime you return to a place to find it isn’t what you remembered. That was the case here, but this time it was so much better.
If you find yourself on St. Barth, I cannot recommend this too strongly; you must visit Le Sereno, a true culinary gem.
