Located in the ritzy Eden Rock hotel, this beachside restaurant is über casual with a very French flair. Food is what you would expect in a upscale lunch place: grilled lobster, filet mignon, Dover sole, mahi mahi, tuna, salmon, hamburgers with Brie and bacon, gazpacho of melon or cucumber, various salads, and super desserts. My only small gripe is they hire only younger people for service and it can be a bit errratic and unprofessional at times. A older dining room manager might keep all the kids focused. But it' a small gripe.

We have been going to St. Barth's for upwards to two months over the past 30 years.....have been to every restaurant on the island multiple times...over the last 15 years this Relais property has been our favorite.....typically we go to the bar for drinks, then head to our table...in the past, they served little tasty horsd'ouerves with drinks... well they have changed chefs and brought in a world famous chef from New York.....now with our drinks, they presented us with a bowl of popcorn....popcorn at a Relais?....never.....when seated for dinner, in the past, you were always presented with amuse, sorbet between courses, and little sweets after your meal......with the new chef now...nothing, zero......it appears the agenda is to cut food costs while their prices have gone up......we have dined at countless Relais'; there was always those little somethings that made dining at a Relais a cut above.....this dining room has no business being a Relais...... I do want to mention that our food was excellent...all it is now is an over priced restaurant on this island which excels in good food

I love this place--great ambiance, great food, GREAT fries, and excellent lobster--lets you do the work yourself, which is always my preference. The burgers are top notch as well and the tuna club sandwich is delicious. Fresh fruit is the way to go for dessert. It's pricey--I mean, it's St barts... But not obscene.

We have been coming to St.. Barths for years and noticed 3 of our favorite places have changed for the worse, including Sand Bar (others are La Cantina and On the Rocks). The menu used to be creative and inventive. Now the menu consists of some salads and some basic entrees which are repeated upstairs at dinner On the Rocks. It is truly disappointing compared to years past. I don't care whose name is on the menu, it was much better before. The only things that were decent were the lobster salad for lunch and the lobster tacos for dinner.
