“Brooklyn Pizza on St. Bart's.”
Reviewed March 30, 2014 via mobile

The proprietor of our hotel suggested L'Entracte on the night of our arrival. We drove to Gustavia and found parking across the street! The gods seemed to be with us. The place was mobbed. We believe we must have had the lady table available (make reservations). Jean-Phillipe, out hotel proprietor, raved about the pizza. It smelled so good cooking I really wanted to try it. Then I read the menu and faced a dilemma. They had steak tartare! Steak tartare is about my favorite dish and it's seldom on US restaurant menus. My wife solved the dilemma - order a pizza as a started and mains for dinner. We placed our order and the waitress suggested that we were ordering a lot of food. We asked if we'd be able to take half the pizza home for lunch the next day and she said she could accommodate us. In sum, the pizza was great, the food was great, the service was great, and, despite the noisy hectic crowd, the ambience was appropriate for this Brasserie experience.

“Enticing”
Reviewed March 7, 2014

Beautifully plated, fresh and cool atmosphere. The staff was clearly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Everything looked beautiful. I ordered an Asian sounding meal. Kinda knew it was a mistake as I did it. My wife stuck with French/European cuisine and it proved to be exceptional. Dropped one star as they should stick to what they do best and get rid of the Asian fusion options on the menu.

“Not representative of St. Barth's best cuisine.”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

We gave this a try based on all the good reviews. We were so disappointed. The service was fast and very friendly but if you are looking for great food on St. Barth's then this is not the restaurant for you. This small waterfront restaurant makes a really good pizza but the dinner we had was average. We had the escargot and goat cheese in pastry for an appetizer. These were okay, nothing special. We had chicken cordon bleu for our main course. This was more of a deconstructed cordon bleu, very non-traditional, but it was just okay. I would only recommend this restaurant for the pizzas and calzones.

“Best meal we had on the islands”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

We made a day drip to St. Barts from St. Martin and ate at L'Entracte on recommendation of our yacht's crew. The place appears to be catering to tourists and locals alike, which is, typically, a good sign. While by no means cheap, by St. Barts' standards it is reasonably priced and the food is just amazing, even by the local, very high standards.

“Love it!”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

Eat where the locals eat and have fun doing it! Everything from great pizza to fresh mahi-mahi. Very relaxed and fun spot. What is best is you don't have to spend a fortune! Ask for Alex at the bar and enjoy. He is the best!
