Excellent food in downtown Gustavia on the hill overlooking the carenage. Ask for a table at the windowsill...

This was, hands down, my favorite meal in St. Barths. Yes, it's up a hill, but the view overlooking Gustavia Harbor is beautiful. Either drive and valet, or walk up from town and burn a few calories. It is worth the trek. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. It's sexy in that casual beachy kind of way. The food is outstanding. The tuna tataki with crispy rice is absolutely delicious and the salmon tiradito (sp?) is worth going back for. The mix of salmon, citrus, and truffle salt makes for a pop of flavor - definitely a winning combination. The service was attentive and the drinks were great. All in all, worth the price and trip up the hill. Can't wait to come back on my next trip to St. Barths.
Also, check out the attached boutique. Super cute stuff and not outrageously priced, like many places.

This place is stunningly beautiful. Amazing view of Gustavia and the decor in the restaurant is gorgeous as well- a beautiful beach house! The cocktails and wine lost are fabulous. The food, all three courses, were exceptional. My husband and I both had the tuna tacos, I had the sea bass and he had the tenderloin. Both dishes were outstanding. The warm chocolate tart was delicious as well. I almost wanted to cancel our reservation for tonight at another top restaurant just to be able to repeat last night's experience because it was actually that good - definitely top 5 of my favorite meals. Be sure to dine here on your trip the island.

This was my second visit to Bonito, and as often happens, it was not as good as the first. The first course and pain perdu dessert were excellent. However, the Peruvian beef stew entree was entirely too tough to be any good. Considering this one dish cost 40 Euros, they need to use a better cut of meat; totally unacceptable for a restaurant at this level. Good service and great atmosphere, though the recorded music was a poor substitute for the live music last year. Still, this is a 'must-go' place when you are in SBH, but order carefully. Last year, Bonito was head and shoulders better than this group's 'sister' restaurant Juvia in Miami Beach. This year, Juvia easily won this competition (review to come).

One of the best food and definitely the best drinks
We have been to many mishilin stars restaurants and this one is on the level.
We tried many things there and could not find anything that did not exceed our expectation.
The bartender is very talented and creative.
The place to return without a doubt
