Owner description: This beach is littered with shells for that perfect vacation memento.

This is the closest beach to Gustavia so we spent some time there. Good for swimming and there is a nice beach bar and restaurant there with chairs and umbrellas for rent. As the name implies, the beach is full of small shells so I recommend flip flops for foot protection. Parking is very limited so walking from Gustavia makes sense.

I loved the convenience and how you can walk there from your hotel. It has a beautiful view. I like the outdoor seating. Wish the drinks were better there and service needs to be more attentive.

Small beach within walking distance from the ferry terminal. Chaises did not look comfortable so we decided on getting cocktails at the beach restaurant and just using the table. Beach is corralled by the rocks on both sides but waives were still somewhat high. Had a lovely walk on the beach, collected a lot of various sea glass and some shells (they are all the same so if you are looking for variety, go someplace else). Nice change from the generally sandy or rocky beaches of the island.

This beach is called Shell Beach for a reason - the sand is completely covered in shells. Hurts your feet to walk on so bring some beach shoes.
This beach is a little small and very rocky but it's the closest to the town of Gustavia.
There is a restaurant on the beach which is quite pricey.

We really like the shell beach. It's great for the kids as they can be occupied for quite some time collecting shells. It has decent snorkeling with a very easy access. There is a restaurant right on the beach, where you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas, though it's a little pricey. Very pretty setting. One thing to keep in mind - there isn't much natural shade.
