BelAmour is positioned at the tip of Pointe Milou with a stunning panoramic view of the St Jean bay, Fregate and other small islands in the middle ground and Anguilla in the distance. It is sufficiently remote to receive no noise from nearby bars and hotels but nowhere on St Barth is far away and BelAmour is a perfect base from which to explore the island's wonderful beaches, to shop in St Jean and Gustavia and to eat in the wide variety of terrific restaurants.
BelAmour is no less stunning inside the property than outside. The airy hyper-modern design includes a spacious living room and bedroom, both of which have windows that fully open to the outside view. The living room has a generous dining space, with a roof that opens and closes, on one side and a length pool beyond the windows on the other side. The kitchen and shower room work well and there is a lovely sun deck in the garden.
We were very thoughtfully looked after seven days a week by the kind housekeeper-manager. The whole experience of our fortnight's stay was delightful and far better than staying in an hotel. Strongly recommended.
We are a bit hesitant to write this review because this is a place we rather keep confident : this magical abode is more beautiful than any pictures may suggest. We have nothing to fault or complain after a 5 days stay, from the excellent communication we had with Thibault and his team before arrival, to the airport greet and meet and then the property itself. The villa is perfect for 2 (and its hard to find such 1 bedroom properties on the island, most are multi-bedrooms for family holidays) and has everything you need including a Mac and printer (which we didnt use as we brought our own laptops) and a well equipped kitchen. The interior is tastefully furnished, the bed super comfy and the walk in shower is spacious. The pool is exquisite and is a true lap pool not just a glorified jacuzzi which is whats in some other villas on the island. Daily housekeeping service was also excellent and friendly. And the setting at the tip of Pointe Milou has possible the most gorgeous view on the island, the best sunset and you are constantly mesmerized by the beauty looking out from the bedroom or living room. Indeed the views may be the centerpiece attraction of the home. The trendy Christopher hotel is 5 minutes away and beaches are 10 if you want to take a dip in the ocean. Its as private as can be at the end of a road but yet super convenient to L'Orient and St Jean if you needed a croissant or pastries (Petite Colombier in L'Orient) or groceries (L'Oasis). We ended up making dinner in the house and not wanting to leave at all, despite the excellent restaurants all around. We asked ourselves hard to come up with some faults to find so as to present a balanced review but really couldn't come up with anything. Thank you for creating this magical place !
