Though the vegetation is starting to be seen, this is moor like a moonscape than St Barth's.
Starting to be heavily built eastern end, used only to have Le Toiney and wasa something one could miss.

I believe this is the only real place to surf but it has a reputation for being dangerous at times. I did not use the beach. It is definitely more remote feeling than the other beaches. Get info before you go!

The Toiny Coast is a mandatory visit every time I visit St Barths and an excuse to do a tour round the island.

Park the car and stand at the edge of the road and take in the drama of the huge waves, bracing winds and the roar of the sea. A complete contrast to the rest of the island

It is rugged and wild with the waves crashing all around you. Park your car, turn off your engine, close your eyes and sit and listen. it brings you back to Monterrey or Big Sur. This offers chance to escape the city, maybe stop for a cocktail at Le Gaiac and ponder the universe.

It's just like going to Califonia's BIG SUR coast. Huge beautiful cliffs with crashing white waves. If you are smart, you'll make sure to go to Le Toiny Hotel for a drink. It's the most magnificent view on the island and a great place for dinner. Very pricey, but excellent.
