We recently visited Gouverneur again during a cruise stop. It had been about 12-13 years since we were last there - apart from a few more houses high up overlooking the beach, plus a nicely paved entrance ( it was a gravelled lot before ) compliments of the major landowner along the beach, it was exactly as we remembered it. As it was a national holiday, there were quite a few people there, but not so many to mar the beauty and magic of this beach.
