“Secluded, Natural beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

Great beach to enjoy au natural with your spouse. We went to Governour beach 6 times in our stay on St. Barths and enjoyed it immensely every time. the near side of the beach seemed to be more for families and the clothed, while the far end of the beach was for full nude sun bathing. We loved it and had so much space to ourselves, so did not feel over crowded at all. There were times when there was nobody else on the beach. paradise. An exciting drive to get there, the water was great on calm days, but due to weather became choppy by the end of our time there. Bring an umbrella and lunch..plan to stay for the entire day.

“Best Beach in St. Barth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

We checked out most of the big beaches while at St Barth and this was our favorite. Beautiful views, long expanse of perfect sand, few people, nice shallow portion to sit and chat while sunning. Don't miss it.

“My absolute favorite beach on St. Barth's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

This beach has a good bit of shade for St. Barth's, near the entrance by the parking area, if you get there early enough. Plan to share it. Deep water begins quickly which, in the right season, gives great wave action. LOVE LOVE LOVE

“Paradice!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2012 via mobile

My favorite beach!
Water is clear, calm, not too clouded, you can park right next to it.
You can snorkel right by the rock on the left and you can swim with tropical fish.
Goat family Lounging on the hill,so quiet,if this is not Paradice, what it is!!!

We saw many topless ladies but not many nudist men,so if you are a man and wanna experience that, you might feel weird doing it??

No restaurant or bathroom,so bring your food and water with you.

“Favorite Beach on the island!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

We first found Gouverneur two years ago when we first visited the island. From that point on, we were determined to find a villa close to that beach so we could spend everyday there. Well..this year we did just that. Each day we took the 5 minute drive down to the beach and planted ourselves for at least part of the day. This year, the water started out a litle rougher than it had been on our last trip, but no seaweed. We were unable to do the snorkeling this trip either, but it did not stop us from enjoying the beautiful beach. By the end of our trip, the water had calmed back down and it was back to being the calm water we had remembered. The cove is smaller than Saline, but larger than Shell....just right! And when the waves are calm...snorkeling is good down the right side. All the beaches on St Barths are beautiful, but this one is just very special to us.
