The food was not that great.

My group visited in January and following a presentation on the black history of the island the hostess thought it was appropriate to make a racial joke. Several members of my group found it to be offensive. She also personalized a joke causing further embarrassment.

There were also several roaches crawling around in the restaurant.

We will return to Saba but not Brigadoon.

If you're in Saba and wanting to have a fine dining experience, this is the place to go. When we went, I had the thai shrimp, and my husband had beef tenderloin medallions. Everything was cooked perfectly, and we were amazed by the flavor of the sauces.

Brigadoon is owned and operated by a lovely couple who treat the customers like extended family. We were on Saba for a dive vacation and we were pleasantly surprised to find such good food on such a remote island. Love the Brigadoon seahorse logo and the Chef is an avid diver with great photos that he shares of the diving that he has experienced in the area. Brigadoon's is set in a quaint house that is charming and romantic. Service with a smile is constant. If we had a Brigadoon in Ft. Lauderdale, I'm sure it would be a 2 hour wait for dinner year round. Additionally, they have some kind of history slide show 1 night a week (we missed it) but heard it is very good so if you are in Saba, you should try to hit that slide show. We will catch it on our next trip.

This by far was our favorite places to eat on Saba. Michael and Tricia, the owners are amazing hosts. Tricia has a warm, welcoming, big personality that makes you feel totally at home. Tricia works the floor while Michael cooks top notch food. The menu has a wide variety of options and the food is deeeelcious!! Both Tricia and Michael lived in the South (US) and have that southern hospitality that makes you feel well taken care of. They had a good wine selection at reasonable prices. The atmosphere was made even more wonderful with the great tunes that play in the background. If you are on Saba, this place is a must!!!

If you are fortunate enough to find yourself on the very special island of Saba, be sure to dine at Brigadoon. We ate there two nights in a row as the food was exceptional and the owners, Michael and Tricia, make you feel like a member of a big family of friends. Second night they hosted a pre-dinner lecture/film about Saba which really gave a great overview of the history of the island. The outdoor dining, scrumptous food, and general ambience are not to be missed.
