A dinner in the yard of this restaurant is a true pleasure as you’ll enjoy a secluded and mostly wind protected location as well as a splendid view. The food was very good, nicely presented and the service was very attentive, although the whole experience ended up quite a bit overpriced (even more so given the relatively small size of the lobster!!....) Still, a good idea once you’ve finished exploring the many good options in Windwardside!

14 of us had an incredible dinner, far beyond what we expected on this small and somewhat quiet island. All of the food was perfect, the wine list offered nice selection, and the specialty gin and tonic concoctions were an amazing addition. Everyone was impressed throughout the meal. Great service and views, too.

While on Saba Island, we hiked the Sandy Cruz Trail. The hike is strenuous but offers a number of incredible views. The hike terminates near the Queens Gardens Resort. We went to the resort restaurant and had a really relaxing lunch. It is very quiet and well run. The views are magnificent and the beer is cold. I had the Reef Salad which was the best seafood salad I have ever had. This salad featured shrimp, scallops, small mussels, and fish. My wife had a variation of a taco salad, which she very much enjoyed as well. The staff are very courteous and attentive. This is an upscale resort, so the pricing is on the higher end. However, you need to remember you are on vacation. Enjoy yourself. I highly recommend you try Queens Gardens.

We’d just finished hiking the Sandy Cruz trail, walked down from Troy Hill and decided to relax and refresh at the bar. There we met Toney as he was perfecting a shot he called a Brain Hemorrhage. Fascinating to watch it being made—a lava lamp sort of effect—and quite delicious. We just went in for a quick drink, but stayed about two-and-a-half hours talking mixology with Toney. He prefers to invent drinks on the spot rather than making things from a menu. Just give him even a vague idea of what you’d like—smooth or spicy, sweet or dry, light and refreshing or heavy and complex—he’ll figure it out from there and you will not be disappointed. Everything he makes is photo-worthy. If you like, he’ll share his photos of his many mixological masterpieces. While we were there, a young man cane in and asked Toney to make him a non-alcoholic drink. It was so beautiful, with multiple colorful layers, the young man took selfies with it before enjoying it. If you find yourself in Saba, you’ve got to go to Queen’s Gardens, sit at the bar taking in the beautiful island view, and enjoy a cocktail made by Toney.
