“Weather was a big factor”
Reviewed November 15, 2010

We lucked out, all the planets lined up for our Plymouth boat tour. Sun, not much wind, calm seas and great view of the volcano dome this day (11/7/2010). Agree with everyone one else on how they rated Green Monkey and the tour......spectacular!

“Great first-time diving experience”
Reviewed March 25, 2010

Green Monkey's "Discover Scuba" package was fantastic - my wife and I had never been diving before, and we had a blast! They really went the extra mile, accommodating us on very short notice, and even getting us to/from the pool we used for the intro session. Troy was a patient and friendly teacher, and we felt we were in very good hands. The dive itself was fantastic! Just enough supervision/guidance to feel comfortable, but plenty of freedom to look at what we found neat. We're so happy we found time to do this, and would recommend it to just about anyone. The notion of going back for more is a serious pull to visit Montserrat again!

“Outstanding is an understatement”
Reviewed December 9, 2009

We had high expectations of the Green Monkey given the positive reviews, but Troy managed to exceed those expectations. Troy accomodated our schedules and made sure we visited all of the dive sites during the week we were there (except Redonda because of high winds and seas). We dove our own profiles and had bottom time limited only by our computers. We saw large rays on almost every dive, and a full selection of reef denizens. Oswald, one of the divemasters Troy trained, dove with us one day and was an incredible critter finder. After diving, we enjoyed liquid refreshments at the Green Monkey bar, and got to know several of the more interesting residents. One of the highlights was a boat trip to the southern end of Montserrat, where we saw the ruins of Plymouth, a modern Pompei. The volcano put on a show that was incredible.

“Plymouth boat tour - must do when in Montserrat!”
Reviewed September 22, 2009

We took a boat tour with Troy and highly recommend it. The tour goes from Little Bay to just past Plymouth (and back to Little Bay) and is an excellent way to see the Montserrat coastline and the destruction caused to Plymouth. Troy is very knowledgeable about the island and very helpful when planning your trip to Montserrat.

“SAFETY FIRST”
Reviewed May 15, 2009

The Green Monkey is a well equipped and professionally run dive shop. They are by far the most knowledgeable people on Montserrat when it comes to its surrounding waters. Safety and the true enjoyment of your experience are their number one priority. The boat is well built and secure and the views from the sea (both above and down below) are extraordinary. Pristine dive sites and unbelievable views of Plymouth and the volcano. After your dive or boat trip (or both) its nice to sit back on the dive shop deck and enjoy the sunset and an ice cold beverage. Trust me - Troy and Melody are true and friendly - go pay them a visit - you will not be disappointed.
