“The nicest people you could possibly meet, and what a great setting!”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

I did not dive at the Green Monkey; instead I was visiting Little Bay and Carrs Bay on a brief day trip from Nevis. Troy and Melody let me use the Dive Shop as my headquarters. The Green Monkey is the most atmospheric dive center I have ever been in, and Troy and Melody were fantastically kind and hospitable. I could see that all the folks coming back from dives were as happy as clams, and were having a wonderful time having a beer or a Ting and laughing and chatting. The balcony at Green Monkey has a fabulous view of Little Bay. It is really a great place, with wonderful staff!

“Rent kayaks for Rendevous Bay, and do the Plymouth boat tour..”
Reviewed March 4, 2012

The boat tour is well worth the $50 US each. The captain is talking constantly pretty much the whole 2 hours, filling you in on a wide variety of gossip, anecdotes, the state of the island, which famous person lives there, etc. Also the place to rent kayaks to go around the bluff to Rendezvous Beach (the only white sand beach on the island) if you don't want to do the 20 minute over-land hike. The diving is supposed to be good, with turtles to be seen. We didn't do that, though.

“Great Dive Shop!!”
Reviewed October 9, 2011

We dove a week with the Green Monkey Dive Shop. We did 2-3 dives a day, completely dependant on our whims. The dive shop accomidated our schedules and our diving interests. The dive boat appeared to be the biggest and best on the island, and my wife and I had it to ourselves every dive. Troy or Oswald took us out each day to a new reef. Our equipment was waiting for us on the boat each morning, and then they took it back to the shop and rinsed it each evening. On Sunday, after diving, they even had the NFL games showing on a screen in the Green Monkey dive shop/beach bar.

Great island, great diving, and wonderful service! We would definitely recommend them!!!

“Just ask for "Mr. Awesome!"”
Reviewed July 9, 2011

I've been dying to go to Montseraat for 16 years and finally made it. I wanted to see the modern day Pompeii, Plymouth. We went out with Green Monkey Dive Shop and it was great. Tony, (aka "Mr Awesome!") was our captain and guide. He was fun, informative, and wonderfully casual. I hate uptight boat trips. After the tour we went back to the dive shop for drinks and limin' for an hour or so. His wife Melody is an absolute dream: funny, clever, witty, and she knows how to tell a good island story. Being from the USVI we can understand just what island life is like. Definitely book your volcano viewing adventure with them. They know what they're doing and are "Oh, so much fun!" Make sure to ask about the "Mr. Awesome!" story. The trip is about 2 1/2 hours, but make time for drinks afterward.

“Weather was a big factor”
Reviewed November 15, 2010

We lucked out, all the planets lined up for our Plymouth boat tour. Sun, not much wind, calm seas and great view of the volcano dome this day (11/7/2010). Agree with everyone one else on how they rated Green Monkey and the tour......spectacular!
