The view is outstanding. We had a duplex room, three decks, and two of them look right out over the beautiful water. Sunrises and sunsets were always spectacular. The pool was great. never very busy, fantastic view, and the breeze and sound of the crashing waves were nice. Hotel is situated at the far end of Diamant Beach. You can walk from the hotel right on to the beach, but need to walk down the beach a little bit to get to an area where you can put your stuff, since the area near the hotel is rocky and at high tide the water comes right up against the rocks. This can be a little treacherous. The town is within short walking distance, and there is a small selection of restaurants there. You can wake in the morning and walk to the bakeries, and a pharmacy is also within a short walk.

On the down side, the hotel seems to nickel-and-dime for everything. Only one exchange of towels during the visit, and they charge 7 euro each to rent a beach towel. I recommend just buying a beach towel from a vendor, you can get them 2-for-25 euro.
- Wifi access sucks. We generally had to spend a lot of time in the reception/office area to get wifi access, which is critical to finding local places to go or to make reservations at restaurants (which is a must).
- the driveway. This may seem like a funny thing to complain about, but if you are renting a stick-shift car (which is the most available on the island) and you are not a good stick driver, the entrance and gate will be a problem. It's steep -- super steep, and pulls out onto a very busy road.

Room tip: duplex rooms have a fantastic view and easy access to the pool.

We exchanged our wonderful Aruba week for a week at this so-called 'resort'through RCI. We do not understand how it can even be on the RCI site! There were roaches running around the pots and pans inside the kitchen cabinets, the 'Master's bedroom had no shower or bathtub, the mattress in the double bed was hard as a rock, the appliances are are rusted, and the entire place is dirty and literally falling apart. Avoid at all costs!

If you follow the road past the food truck you will come to a covered bus stop on the right across from it is a small dirt road leading to some parking. If you park to the left and then walk left and towards the beach you will find a small spot framed by 2 leaning palms and looking out towards Le Diamount.
Surf is bigger and there is sea grass in the water BUT the view is to die for. Pack a cooler!

Review of the beach.
We went to beach #1 and beach #5 of the Diamant beach stretch. There are 6 sections total. Beach #1 is close to the restaurant, little food merchants on the parking lot and a little gift store (and close to the city) and while it was nice, we noticed drug dealing (probably just pot) and it was a bit dirty. Water is super awesome for body-boarding! All of the family (with two boys, 5 and 7) had so much fun doing some body-boarding! Perfect waves. Safe waves and under-tone. No rocks, just sand, etc. This is our best of the dozen beaches of the island we tried. Beach #5 is better than #1: no drug-dealers nearby, quieter while keeping the same awesome waves. So much fun body-boarding!
