I was not actually staying at the Hotel Bambou but was in Anse Mitan for 6 weeks and observed it. It was during October/November 2002 and definitely off season. Except for the hotels on Point du Bout business appeared pretty dead. And then there was the Hotel Bambou. People were being bused in there continuously, mainly middle aged or older French.
And they all seemed to be having such a great time. They were out on the beach early in the morning and late at night, they could be heard talking and laughing in the restaurant in the evening. Even now, everytime I think of the place I smile.
