The hotel is not as nice as the pictures depict. The doors have standard keys (no cards) and are a bit of a pain to unlock. The rooms are not sound proof as stated by the hotel. The breakfast is a bit limited, but you can make do. Food on the menu for Dinner is quite delicious and not exorbitantly priced. Hotel staff does need to improve on English though; some persons are able to speak a little, but the others almost none at all.

Stayed here for 1 night before taking a cruise from neary port;
Room waw quite large, but a bit outdated.
There is a problem with the front desk as they hardly speak English ( not a surprise in Martinique ) - they have troubles explaining things;
Breakfast was ok, but I expected more;
in the evening we went for a beer into the restaurant, the spilled a hole bottle on my friends lap; they did not even offer a discount for other few beers as a good gesture;
Maybe if I will be in the Fort-de-France again, I will search for another hotel;

I stayed at this hotel for one night in January, 2014. I found the room clean and spacious, the bed most comfortable and the bathroom facilities very adequate.
I was travelling on business alone and decided to dine on the terrace restaurant. Had a king prawn luigini dish which was good and reasonably priced.
The breakfast, also taken on the terrace, was good with eggs cooked three different ways along with bacon. There was the usual selections of breads, cereal, juices and coffees and could not find fault with either the food nor the service.
I cannot comment on the surrounding area as I chose to stay in the hotel.
Free wifi completed a great experience.

Nothing is Good in this hôtel. Food, room and service are very execrable and very expensive for the service. People are unpleasant and repealing. However there's some great view on Fort de France bay. People are unpleasant and repealing. However there's some great view on Fort de France

The hotel and rooms are not that all bad, but the food and restaurant-bar service is. Unfortunately there is nothing else available near the hotel. Nothing. The service in the restaurant and bar is deplorable and just rude.

The Squash Hotel, a fairly large establishment, is located outside the centre of Fort-de-France, barely within walking distance. The shortest route from city centre to the hotel passes through a small slum, which may feel somewhat uncomfortable to walk through. However, the hotel was pleasant, and the room was spacious and comfortable, and had a good adjustable air conditioning system. The breakfast, with fresh fruit, croissants and other pastries, was delicious. The hotel has a swimming pool, too, located next to the bar. Though I did not consider the room cheap, I found the hotel good value for the money. I do recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Martinique.

My family and I stayed here for one night in late December 2012 and one night in mid January 2013. We booked our accommodation on the internet and probably paid slightly less than the tariff on display in the foyer of the hotel. Our arrival time for the first stay was very late (about 1.00am) but that did not turn out to be a problem. Our rooms were large and although quite old-fashioned (re furniture and fittings), our stay on both occassions was pleasant. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning and since the hotel did not seem to be particularly busy we never felt crowded or hurried. The only downside to our stay at this hotel was that reception was unable to get us a taxi to go from the hotel to the cruise ship terminal on the morning after our first night's stay. Since the receptionist then told us it would take less than 10 minutes to walk to the terminal, we tried this, but in fact it took nearly an hour and was very unpleasant as we were carting all our luggage with us. Still not sure why reception couldn't get us a taxi.
