We have nothing but good things to say.
Joe and Maria you guys are awesome you rock!!! Your free spirit is very inspiring!
From the first time I called to check availability until we checked out they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They treated us like family! If your looking for a relaxing and down to earth atmosphere then you will love the Tropicalk Guest House.
We will definitely be back sooner then later.

These guys had the best service I have ever seen. They stayed up late to wait for us to arrive even though the ferry to the island was very late and we got in close to midnight. The breakfast was really good and a great deal. The owners were so nice and hospitable and the place was very clean. Everything at the hotel was really well thought out and done with great care. Clara was great in terms of helping us to arrange the bio bay tour, helping us get transportation to the beaches, they gave us bottled water, and extra towels for the beach. The service is really the best I have ever seen and the owners were so nice as people. I would highly recommend a stay as they went above and beyond for a great experience.

The hotel is a gem. It's owners Joe and Maria definitely add to the stay with their utmost hospitality. Room size is perfect for a couple. The ambiance in the lounge whether at breakfast, in the afternoon, or in the evening was always soothing with Joe's great taste for music. Lastly, breakfast was simply amazing at first bite and beyond. Simply a Vieques gem!

Joe and Maria are the best!!! This was my first experience staying at a bed & breakfast--it was awesome!!! At the TGH you will get great value for your stay- clean, quiet room and the bonus is the staff will treat you like royalty. The owners Joe and Maria will treat you like family, catering to your needs and making you comfortable. The breakfast is awesome and cheap!!! Not only is Joe the owner of TGH, he knows the ins and outs of the island as well as everyone on it. Joe's beach recommendations were right on point-- Caracas, Playa Navio, Luna Beach and Playa Negro he even set up a driver to insure we would get a good price for our trip. We were also in walking distance to Count Mirasol Forte, which was interesting to see some local history. What more could you ask for!?? I can't wait to return to Vieques and stay with my new friends Maria, Joe and staff at TGH.

For those who are looking for a place to sleep and be quiet is perfect. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place. The luxury here is to share a cofee or a beer with the owner, having a simple basic, a clean room tv (which if you are for exploring could leave off all time)
Very good place, hidden within town, walking distance to restaurants. No beach,so rent or bring your own car and can go anywhere from there.
Surely will be back

As others have said, this is a great place to stay for those looking for a place to sleep and shower and go enjoy the island. Clean rooms, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the owner is a great guy! My only small complaint is there are no mini-fridges in the rooms, I wanted to keep water bottles cold, overall was a great place to stay while I got a few dives in on the island.

Here is what is important:
The hotel room was safe and secure.
The hospitality was comparable to the best hotel's I've experienced.
They provided fantastic recommendations on beaches, things to do, or places to eat.
The Breakfast in the morning was cheap ($4+) and delicious.
It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the ferry.
Some off street parking.

The room wasn't impressive, a tile floor, with not much space beyond the bed. We were here to spend time at the beaches and checking out the island, not to hang out at the hotel. So that wasn't important to us. If you're looking for a spacious room with lots of extras look elsewhere. If you want a place to sleep that provides a good experience, and wonderful hospitality this is a great choice. I would absolutely stay here again when in the area.
