“Good food, excellent Daiquiri”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

The food is really good. The french fries are amazing. The strawberry daiquiri (no alcohol, it was morning) is totally amazing! It's not my type of drink. My wife had me taste it. Wow!

The drinks are the coldest drinks I have EVER had at any time in my life. If you're getting off the ferry, or waiting to get on the ferry, you HAVE to go get a drink there. Cold as you'll ever have.

“great puerto rican food”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

I've been to Vieques 6 or 7 times and this is maybe my favorite establishment to eat at. The mofongo os delicious! the seafood is local, the rum punch is fantastic! The service is a little sub par but that is an island wide phenomenon. Even at The W everything takes forever. Get used to that on vieques in general. Prompt service is very rare! The pastellilos are incredible! every flavor! My girfriend got lobster and it was a massive serving that she couldn't finish in one sitting. The shrimp was great the grouper was great the cuban sandwich was great. Go where the locals go! thats how we wound up here!

“Authentic local food, "island time" service”
Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

Delicious Puerto Rican food. Enjoyed everything: margaritas, arepas, lobster salad, whole fish (grouper), papitas, mofungo, conch & chicken pasteles. We had to make ourselves noticed after waiting 15 minutes and help ourselves to some menus however.

“What a surprise!”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

This VERY VERY local "establishment" would not normally attract a tourist crowd - one, it is tiny - maybe seats 20 folks, and two, the bar sits in front and is frequented by the old time locals... A party of 7 had to overwhelm this small restaurant - and we did that to them TWICE!!! The fish was good, the sandwiches very good, portions big, they served beer, had somewhat reliable hours (one of the few in Vieques that did). Their Cuban sandwich was GREAT; the whole fish - tasty but a tad over cooked; the mofongo - good; rice and beans - memorable! It was really the experience that made it. The evening of our Vieques arrival (a fulld day of traveling) we wearily and perhaps warily walked to the restaurant - and as it turned out it was Karaoke night! Well, not how most of us think of Karaoke, but a very small (tiny) local version with some old timers - men - singing and dancing a bit in the bar. A great experience! We loved it!

“Fresh local flava!”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

Some may not think this place is five stars - but for what it is, it is Great!
Had best conch salad and conch fritters ever! My GF agrees and she grew up in florida eating conch. It was tender and mild and not chewy at all... yummy! Of all places in Vieques, I'll make sure to come back here for food, atmosphere and prices.
The bar guy/waiter was very nice and people there are very very local - maybe a little scary to some tourists but a JOY to travellers - know what i mean? Sit at the window bar and watch folks get off the ferry, watch fishermen sell their fresh catch of the day to locals under the tree to the left. Want to feel like a local? eat here, chill out and beer.
Great value too.
