We kept driving past this place and finally stopped for some take-out pastelles for the beach. They are perhaps the best expanadas on the island, especially the lobster. We returned for a couple of dinners and we were not disappointed. The place is spotless, the server at the bar was adorable and helpful and the owner and the chef could both not have been more welcoming. The seafood mofongo is great (a filling dish to be sure!). The chef, who had been called out by the bartender to translate and answer some questions, spontaneously sent us an extra appetizer treat of shrimp. To my mind this is the perfect place to have a casual dinner after a day of lounging and reading at the beach.
