Mmmmm…mofongo! It comes back to me in my dreams, especially the one with lobster meat and seafood! It was so, so tasty! Add to this the best seafood paella ever, half of rice, half of shrimps, clams, squids... mmmmm! After eating their food I could not enjoy the food in other places in Puerto Rico, including the famous La Perla Restaurant. And the view! Beautiful, breathtaking, unobstructed! (Well - almost unobstructed, as bougainvillea are growing quite high - so if they do not cut them soon, the view will be gone).
Yet, better be prepared for surprises. Usually, every third position in the menu is unavailable. The waitresses would forget your order, so i.e. - if you order the wine, and you are lucky enough that they have it, you might get it after the dinner :).
Some of the stuff is really great - there is one big lady who is really helpful and quick and smiling, and never confuses your orders. But there is another one, which with helpless smile comes back to you after 20 minutes and asks you "so what did you order? Because I have very week memory!" There is also another lady, who does not realize that her memory is weak, so simply would not serve you i.e. dessert ordered (which is good for you, of course, as you should not eat desserts not to ruin your diet plan :)).
I would not stand such a service in Washington, but on the holidays it is less bothering – almost not bothering, especially in such beautiful place. Simply, be aware that if you do not get what you ordered, ask again, because they probably have forgotten. And enjoy! it is definitely worth paying visit. The prices (surprise, surprise) are more or less the same as in shack-like restaurants in Esmeralda, places definitely lacking the charm and atmosphere of the Casserole. Must go when in Vieques!

Recently stayed at the Inn on the Blue Horizon and had two dinners and two breakfasts at this lovely restaurant. Consistently good - for dinner I would recommend the arugula salad with crunchy chickpeas and the whole fried snapper, for breakfast the yogurt with fruit and honey and the banana pancakes. The house coffee is a light steamed latte and the frozen cocktails were perfect for a hot afternoon. The staff there are quick, friendly and spot-on with recommendations,

Have eaten at this restaurant in the past and had a great experience but had such an awful visit last time, will never be going back. Our table had bread plates at each space, but when we inquired about bread, we were told they don't serve bread (they used to have GREAT rolls) and that the little plates were "for the look". Seriously? We waited an extremely long time for service (even though there was only one other table with people) and then for our food. Food was good but EXTREMELY salty. Twice our glasses sat empty for a long time. The second time was so long, we actually went in search of our waiter for a refill. After our meal the waiter cleared our plates and then disappeared, never asking if we wanted dessert or drinks. Actually had to go find her so we could pay...she was sitting at the bar with another employee, eating their supper. We've eaten here before and honestly really enjoyed it, but after this disaster of a visit we won't be coming back. :(

We have been here many times over the years, but it had been awhile - heard there was new chef and thought we would give it a try. Sat at the bar with the intention of having cocktails and appetizers. We like the atmosphere at the bar and when we arrived at 7pm had the whole bar to ourselves. Good cocktail. Ample pour. We ordered 3 appetizers to share - fried calamari, tuna tartare and beet salad. Fried calamari was a bit overcooked and small portion. Tuna tartare was delicious, in little mofungito cups (4) with some seaweed salad on top. Beet salad was also wonderful with some type of frizzled ham and arugula. I like the lighting in the bar, but the fact that the colors are always changing can be a bit annoying. Service was fairly good - appetizers came with 30 minutes. Appetizers are fairly pricey.
