“Enchanted Evening”
Reviewed April 14, 2010

We were a party of 4, Friday evening, April 9th. We dined on the lower broad terrace under a grapefruit tree. The terrace was lighted with twinkle lights & the crickets & coquis were singing. The hostess greeted us at the door & seated us immediately. A lovely atmosphere. The only drawback is that the furniture is of the white plastic garden variety- one hopes that as the cash flow improves, the owners will invest in something a little more substantial & more in character with the high quality of the overall experience.

The restaurant was not crowded; there were 4 folks at the bar, another 2 couples on the side terrace, & including us, three parties of 4 on the big terrace. Our server was prompt, completely knowledgeable, and very friendly- without fault.

The curried soup was delicious, but perhaps just a touch on the sweet side, and to our tastes, not quite spicy enough. The salad with warm breaded goat cheese & roasted pineapple was perfect, as was the ahi tuna appetizer. The roast chicken main was tender & juicy & beautifully sauced. Overall, the food was of a high standard.

Overall, a delightful experience. We will certainly return.

We have eaten there several times and always enjoyed the meal.
i think the food could be a bit better for the price, but just barely.

the service is very good, in my opinion. but dont expect to sit as soon as you get there.

“Great food.”
Reviewed March 2, 2010

We went here last night, and thought it was good. Service was pretty good although the hostest spoke very softly . Nice view as it is open air . I had the pork "spring rolls" for 6 dollars. Fairly priced, and they have numerous tapas. I had the chicken with the goat cheese mashed potatoes which was amazing, well cooked chicken.

Overall, a good place. Not great, but good.

“best food on the island”
Reviewed March 1, 2010

After visiting the island for 5 years I finally found a meal worth buying. The waitstaff was charming, well informed and attractive. We throughly enjoyed all of our meal which included an 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 "little plates" and dessert. Our whole bill was only $70 with drinks. Kudos to them for a well done job.

“Excellent Dinner Experience - Went Twice”
Reviewed February 24, 2010

We were on Vieques last week and had two excellent dinners at Next Course. The menu has lots of good choices, the service was great and the food was wonderful. I recommend the crab and risotto balls for a great appetizer. We also loved their ribs (huge portion), the seafood in bourbon cream sauce, grilled dorado, and another seafood with pasta dish (can't recall the sauce but it had a tomato base). Everything was delicious and we thought we got real value for the price!

They're margarita was also great.
