This is a great beach for families as it has a picnic area and facilities. The only downside is the $2 fee that they charge at the gate.

A lovely long beach that is safe as it's in a partrolled park with a $2 entrance fee. With luck you can find a palm for shade. But, with all the beaches, you're best off to rent an umbrella and chairs. There are many vendors to choose from.

Sun Bay was absolutely beautiful, and it was handy to have the option of bathrooms. We didn't wear our bathing suits to Vieques, so it was nice to have a place in which to change once we arrived at the beach. Highly recommend! You can walk from Esperanza as well, crossing over the Malacon onto the beach and then following the beach for 15 or so minutes.

This is a public beach so it's populated but very good if you're a person who needs shade, provided by palm trees all across the beach.
