We tried the mofongo churrasca and the grouper dish in a red coconut curry sauce. While they were both tasty, each dish suffered from the opposite issues. The mofongo badly needed a sauce, while my grouper was drowning in powerfully spiced sauce that became cloying after a few bites. Partner enjoyed the mofongo, despite it needing a sauce. The steak was cooked well and the mofongo was well seasoned, with a great balance of garlic and spices. I also enjoyed the grouper, but the dish could use a lighter hand with the sauce even though the curry was super tasty and flavorful. We would probably go back but I thought the prices were outrageous for what we were served. I felt like they gave us the menu with the tourist prices. Either that or the Bistro is simply a tourist trap. We had plenty of other food on the island that was much more reasonable and just as tasty, so unfortunately this falls to the bottom of our go-to list.
