I just did not think it matched the hype. Our guide was awful - talked non-stop about meaningless things. Too bad, because he was knowledgeable. Wouldn't hurt the island tourism to invest in a couple loads of gravel to improve road to site. Appreciate the eco nature, but filling bone-rattling potholes doesn't harm environment

Don't drive all the way in, wait in the parking lot to be brought into the bay by the tour company. Also best to go with no moon cant see much with full or semi full moon

I think it is important to not expect "Life of Pi" glows but this is such an amazing natural wonder and a night kayak tour was a highlight from the trip.

Be very careful of the moon brightness when you go. I went 10 years ago and was total blown away. This time was when the moon was 3/4 full and it was a total blow out.

You really need to check about how big the moon will be. Unfortunately when I was there the moon was a little over 50% full and it was pretty much impossible to see the dinoflagellates illuminate. I went because I felt like I should since I was in Vieques but honestly unless its a New Moon or very dark it is not worth the trip
