Extremely calm, warm, clear water. Small pavilions for shade and eats. Very beautiful with white, soft sand. Perfect for a families with smaller children

Totally tranquil, breathtakingly beautiful. It's a little hike and there are no amenities, so bring drinking water. The serenity is almost unnerving! So worth a visit. Bluest water, whitest sand anywhere.

When we asked for a calm beach with minimal waves, this was recommended, and it was perfect. I prefer a rough beach experience with crashing waves, but my wife likes a calm waveless beach, because she's not a confident swimmer, and basically a chicken. We were traveling with a 3 year old, so the beach was well suited for him, too. Clear water, white sand, and solitude. That fact that you can go out a good ways, and the water remains pretty shallow makes it great for small kids. If this is the type of beach you're looking for, you will not be disappointed.

If you have the will to drive thru potholes and unpaved road Media Luna Beach is wonderful for kids. You can also be shuttled via the local vans. You are surrounded by natural foliage. Much of the area is left untouched & doesn't have "park rangers" like we may be used to in the States. No bathrooms or food kiosks either. It is isolated during the week, dont travel with valuables. Now with that said..I have visited this beach my entire life, since grandparents are from here. Waves here are literally nonexistent. Water is shallow & clear. My first trip w/ my young child was awesome. First time I could feel relaxed without the worry of waves. You can find shade along the trees. Good sand for play & you can always find marine life to explore with kids.

Another one of the most beautiful beaches on Vieques! Between Media Luna and Red Beach its hard to decide. Spending a whole day here was incredible. The beach was completely solitary and its was wonderful.
