The architecture is amazing. It has an outdoor feel like you are in nature with all the comforts. We stayed in Solaris 4 (2nd floor) the first night and then switched to Solaris 2 (top floor) the rest of the trip.
I loved waking up every morning feeling the breeze from outside and looking past my feet at the sunshine. It rained one of the nights (no we didn't get wet) it was just peaceful hearing the rain and feeling the breeze but being comfy and warm only a few feet away. Oh and the outdoor shower is amazing! Occasionally you can also hear the horses walking around.
The owner invited everyone to his home on the property to welcome us and serve some food and drinks. He said they get an interesting type of guest. I would agree. A lot of adventurous types who are also world travelers. Up for anything but also appreciates a fine meal.
YOGA.......I did yoga twice while I was there. The classes had about 10 ppl in them each time. The instructor was good. It was mostly vinyasa yoga for all levels. She let the class know what else they could do in the pose to bring it the next level or you could just take it easy at your own pace.
SOLARIS 4 vs 2: S4 gets some sun but enough shade that you never have to sit in the sun. S2 gets full sun. S4 has a back patio and S2 doesn't. S2 is on the top floor and has a better view of the island and water. I went in S1 to see the view. There's a tree in front of half the patio. The view was still good of the island and the water but I think S2 is better.
Both rooms had a good cross breeze. It kept most of nature out. I didn't get bit but my husband used the net over his side of the bed because he got bit by a few mosquito's. Wimp;)
IMO their website actually undersells what they offer. It leaves out some of the nice touches they have (fresh bread every day etc) and there aren't many pics of the rooms. Take a look at my pics for stuff they leave out and more pics of the rooms.
This place isn't for everyone. If you prefer traditional hotels, a high level of attention and service and do not like nature this place is not for you!
