“Good in general”
Reviewed February 24, 2010

I was there twice last week. One should definitely try 'whole local red snapper'. Fish is delicious and appearance of the dish is unusual. 'Fisherman's plate' is good for those people who like fries.
Although their crab cakes which I ordered for lunch turned to be made from fake crab sticks instead of real crab meat. It was such a disappointment!

“Duffy's is good choice for beachy lunch”
Reviewed January 29, 2010

We ate at Duffy's twice last week for lunch. They have a daily special board which we ordered from. Fried grouper sandwich with fries. Remarkably good. The grouper fresh and hot, good bread, right out of the fryer potatoes. No, this isn't Comida Criolla but they have a nice view of the ocean and good service. Most of the front tables were taken by locals talking business when we were there. We had the red snapper vege soup one day, very nice, and fried shrimp, mahi, and island slaw another day. Food is well prepared, hot off the grill, so to speak, and well priced.

“Duffy's Sunset - best drink on the island!”
Reviewed January 18, 2010

The Duffy Sunset - I don't know what they put in this drink...(and I am not a fruity drink kinda guy) - But it is AMAZING & delicious!

Enjoyed the fried fish special, nachos, conch soup - funky atmosphere, good classic rock tunes during the day & dance party at night (a little too loud for Esperanza's vibe).

Good, friendly service & island food - Thumbs Up!

“Good burger, but a so-so atmosphere”
Reviewed January 14, 2010

All of the outdoor tables were taken so we sat inside. It was very blah and the service was kind of slow even though there weren't that many people there. My burger was the highlight of this meal experience.

“Less than Impressed”
Reviewed December 7, 2009

It was a very American restaurant: everyone spoke perfect English, and the dishes weren't very Puerto Rican (think burgers, nachos, Philly cheesesteak, etc). If you aren't very adventurous, that might be a good thing, but I didn't personally go to Puerto Rico to have a cheeseburger. The entrees were kind of overpriced, but it is an open-air restaurant so you get that laid-back island feel.
