We went there for dinner after seeing the signs in Duffy's advertising live bands & "reservations a must". We figured it would be something different to try (we go to Vieques every year).

We arrived, to almost a completely empty place. The food was incredibly over priced and really terrible. The "salad bar" was three bowls sitting on a folding table that had probably been there all night. It consisted of salad, potato salad, and pasta salad.

All four of us ordered different dinners to try everything they offered (which was basically 5 choices) and the food was terrible. Some of the dishes we couldn't even eat because they were so terrible. What was worst was the $170 bill at the conclusion of the terribly over priced dinner.

The only kudos I can give was our waitress was great, and the live music was great for how long they were there. Our dinner reservations were at 8, the band packed up around 9. We had about 10 minutes to enjoy the band and dance.

Overall, good atmosphere, terrible food that is incredibly overpriced. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The place is really fun. The music cranks, the food is full of local flavor and spices, the old guy who runs the place keeps it the way he wants it and doesn't care if you like it or not. Authentic. Loved it.

Is what we now affectionately call this little shack. It was a fun night of course. My husband and I can have fun anywhere! But oh heck! The salad was two bowls of not so good potato salad and some other mayonnaised salad. I got the chicken. The flavor was good, however, it was so dry I almost choked. Literally! I had to order many drinks just to get it down. But, that may be the ploy. Get them drinking so they forget the food and have a blast with the music. Which, is what we did! Go there for the fun, but dont go for the food. It was also cool talking to the locals. The folks all work at all the restaurants. On any given night you will see your waitress from Jack's or any other, here or at some other place in town. It made the experience more cozy. You got to know them and appreciate how hard they really do work.

We went on Monday night which is Calypso Night with live music. The place is a drive or cab ride from either Esparanza or Isabel II. We had a good inexpensive dinner with an island feel to it. The food itself was not spectacular, but good and with the vibe and music, it made it a pleasant evening.

We live on Vieques and had friends in and thought it would be a fun time to finally hit Monday Reggae/Grill night; the staff were less than accomodating, the food marginal and the prices ridiculous for what you got....we will not return. It is a charming building hidden in the "jungle", we were very disappointed and will not return. Wait staff overcharged us by over $40.00 and then argued with us...seemed more than oversight.
