We tried to go to Bili our first night in Vieques per our inn keeper's recommendation, but they were closed for a private party. We eventually found ourselves there the next night and were the first people there for dinner. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the nice breeze.

We ordered sangria (both the white and red) and weren't impressed. It almost tasted like it was out of a machine. I tried to order boneless pork chops, but our server came back and said they were out of that (after I had already asked his opinion on which of the two pork dishes to choose) so i chose the Traditional Puertorican Pork Chops with Loin and Rib Bone. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be a ton of actual meat on the pork chop and it was one of the saltiest dishes I've eaten. Both my pork chop and my husband's entree (it was a special) came with a delicious paella.

The place filled up quite a bit while we were there and the service ended up being pretty slow. We were on vacation so that didn't really matter, just know your expectations when you go.

We also ordered catch of the Day ceviche which was a small portion, but good, and the calamari with Puerto Rican tempura. Our issue with the calamari is that the rings were quite large and it didn't come with any sauce making it a little hard to eat. It didn't taste bad, just wasn't 100% what we were expecting.

We spent over $100 on our dinner and we're fine with that, but we just wished it had been the best meal we ate the entire nine days we were in Puerto Rico. For us, it was probably our least favorite.

Delicious food and fun but relaxing atmosphere. Random horses trotting by add to the island ambience. We got the red snapper with conch and shrimp over gnocchi which was delicious - completely unexpected and so yummy!

It's great to find a place where they cook more than mofongo. The fish and the pinchos were great and tasteful

We liked this restaurant so much we had two meals there. Open, airy, colorful and fun to sit at we ventured in and proceeded to have for lunch the most delicious grilled caribbean lobster and conch empandillas in a flaky pastry crust. The next day, we went back and had the conch salad which our waiter told us was so well liked by a very well known chef that he came back for the recipe. And rightly so, the conch was flavorful, not chewy, really delicious. If you're in Esperanza on the Malecon, don't miss Bili's.

The ambiance was lovely, very tropical. I went at night and it wasn't hot nor chilly, just perfect, breezy. The waiters were very friendly and always smiling. I ordered the chicken breast cassava plate. It was DELICIOUS! The chicken was served with a garlic sauce on top and cooked to perfection. The salad was served with a coconut and ginger basil dressing which made it feel so fresh, it was amazing. Last but not least, the fried cassava 'cake' was really something I can't even describe; it was crunchy, chewy, melted in your mouth. It was an altogether amazing experience. People who truly know cuisine and can appreciate exotic dishes will love the food this local chef can prepare!
