“Upscale casual with a view...”

So good we ate here twice during our short week. Upstairs has a great view of the water. The menu always has fresh local seafood, featuring the recent catch at fairly reasonable prices. Excellent service, with real linens, but not overly priced for the vanue and food. Full bar and wine list. A must do for our next visit.

“Good Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2014

Overall we liked trade winds as our favorite dinner spot on the island.
Some minor tweaks would make this place a 5 star, but its just not quite there.
The food was excellent. So good in fact, we went back for brunch the next morning, which was also very good. I had the filet mignon for dinner, and it was cooked to perfection. Very solid dish.
The drinks were ok. My wife had a dirty martini, which she really enjoyed. My margarita on the other hand, was less than impressive.
The restaurant is on the second floor overlooking the boardwalk and ocean. Not sunset dining, by any means, but a really nice view.
The service was very good. the waitress knew the menu, made good recommendations, and was very accommodating without being overbearing.
The decor feels a little tired. Maybe on purpose, maybe not.
Will definitely return next trip, for breakfast and dinner.

“Great Lobster and view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2014

We had dinner here twice. We sat in the bar area on high tops and enjoyed everything about our experience. The food is great and lots to choose from. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and don't forget to visit the gift shop for a great selection of T-shirts!

“Overlooking the sea in Esperanza, delicious food and good service.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014 via mobile

We ate a breakfast and a dinner here. Breakfast was FABULOUS, spicy huevos rancheros and also French toast-- and an incredible value for the price. (Breakfast only open to public Friday through Monday, though!). Dinner was pricier, but delicious--those who had whole lobsters said it was the best; my own lobster bits with pasta was a bit tough, but fresh delicious vegetables were also accompaniments--also good garlic bread and margaritas. Overall, quite good! And a gorgeous view for all diners.

“Great meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2014

This was a favorite of our meals while on Vieques. 3 in our party ordered lobster and said it was some of the best they had ever had. The kids meals left a lot to be desired... most restaurants we tried didn't have many options for kids unless they ordered off the adult menus.
