“"Incredible hospitality, food, and drinks!"”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

When my guy and I travel we always prep ourselves with some wisdom learned from past trips: "The best laid plans of mice and men...", "Sh*# Happens", "What's the worst that can happen?"...You get the idea. So, finding ourselves at Isla Grande airport (late) with no rental Jeep on sight, and The Dave getting flustered, I pointed to the stairs and sign saying "Isla Nena Cafe". The rest is herstory! Lyman (from WI like us!) is the heart of this place, his welcoming nature made us feel at ease instantly, and we loved our first visit so much we made a pilgrimage mid-vaca to enjoy some more "special shots", drinks, and conch fritters. Lee is an amazing Chef, those conch fritters are incomparable to any we've had. I'm sure if I had ordered the Cubano it would have cheese, as they do...
P.S. Lyman, room 803 was booked, they did check for us. Nonetheless, we chilled on the beach with frou frou drinks, and ate at Zest, orgasmic! ;)

“Best food on the Island and large portions at a very reasonable price”
Reviewed March 26, 2013 via mobile

Had the French Dip and fries. Out of this world and it was homemade. Service excellent as was the atmosphere. The chef by far is excellent as was the bar tender/Owner (Lyman) very large portions and a very reasonable price. Every time in the airport area we stop in for lunch and always get the same quality food and the same service. The owner never forgets who you are and always changes his specials or adds something new to the menu. Tuesday's now is a Chinese special prepared by his wife, which is out of this world. When in Vieques at the airport be sure to stop in for breakfast or lunch, you will truly be satisfied.

“Freshest food”
Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

Fresh, light and so tasty! The fish wrap was amazing, the roast beef tender, and the burger was huge. The best part was the addictive hot sauce. I can't wait to return and try something else from the great menu.

“Best Conch Fritters”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

We went back a second time for the fritters, even though we had no other reason to be at the airport. What more do I need to say?
