It was easy to get to, had soft sand, and the clearest water. Like the other southern beaches, the waves were small and the water warm.

I'm a local who went for the first time to Vieques. I spent a whole day at this beach and did not want to leave. It was tranquil, water was clear blue and totally relaxing. Its one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen.

love this beach for the fact that it has cazebos especially for those with children its great! bring a hammock or two tie them to the ends of the cazebo and swing, enjoy the breeze and dont forget to swim and have fun .. if you're athletic, swim to the other beach and back!

We arrived on a Thursday morning post memorial day weekend around 10:15 am. There were about 10 other people there before the 6 of us arrived and everyone was spaced out so it seemed "private".
There are several covered pavillions that had picnic tables and some shade if you wanted to picnic or have shade, etc.
Around lunch time either a ferry arrived or some group because about 50 more people arrived. It was not packed but it lost it's sense of total personal space and a personal paradise.
The water was a beautiful aqua color with no rocks.
