What a great time we had with Bill and Laurie, the owners of the Rainforest Inn in Puerto Rico! From Laurie's excellent Welcome Breakfast--complete with just picked off the tree grapefruit, to Bill's guided hike through the Rainforest to the lullaby of the Coqui (the little singing frogs) which put us to sleep each night, we had a great three days and nights. The view from the chalet is breathtaking and we were treated like welcome friends! We plan to go back!

We discovered the rainforestinn from listening to their pod casts. They aren't just on the edge of the rainforest but actually deep in the rainforest at the end of a mile long private drive.

We saw a lizard cuckoo right outside our window the first morning and heard the incredible monkey-call of a Puerto Rican screech owl the evening before. They offer a hike to a private swimming hole on top of a waterfall; we highly recommend the experience to any other nature travelers out there.

Having read a previous review re: "critters in the room" I had to chuckle. Come on folks......this is the rainforest. NOT a city hotel.

If you are interested in partying 'til all hours of the night this may not be the place for you.

Thanks Laurie and Bill,
Can’t wait for a return visit.

Sincerely,
Molly’s mom
