This is a wonderful place to be. The treehouses are very comfortable, open and airy with splendid views. The fruit and other foods provided are great. Martin (the owner and manager) is a fount of information. Lots of great places to visit nearby. You can see the effects of the hurricane on the trees but Yuquiyu is completely back on its feet. Enjoy.
The drive from the airport is actually quite short but on your first time going there I recommend doing it during the day -- it would be very easy to miss some of the turns in the dark.

We spent four nights here in mid-March and were so pleased with the beauty of our surroundings and the thoughtfulness of the cabin design and furnishings. Absolutely delightful. The host was helpful in suggesting trails and other nearby places of interest as well as recommending nearby restaurants. Fresh fruit, yogurt, nuts, local coffee and honey, and other comforts are supplied in the cabins. Much thought has been put into the design of the farm. Easy to access from the San Juan airport with the use of a rental car. It was a privilege to stay in such a beautiful place-truly unique and peaceful.

My husband and I had the privilege of spending two glorious days and nights in Yuquiyú just as it reopened from a long post-hurricane hiatus. Martin was wonderfully accommodating during the booking process, and kept us up to date with everything going on at the property in the weeks before our visit. He sent many recommendations of things to see and do, and was always very helpful with any questions I had.

When we finally got there, we felt instantly at peace. Martin, Javier, and sweet Amor (friendly little dog) warmly welcomed us and escorted us to La Cascada. The treehouse and the grounds were stunningly beautiful. While remnants of the hurricane could still be seen, it was beautiful to see new life pushing up everywhere. We had everything we needed and more in our cabin, and felt spoiled by the amazing local products left for us — figs, cashews, hibiscus, lemongrass, coconut milk, lemonade, avocado, banana, pineapple, and more. We had full electricity and hot running water — and one of the best views we’ve ever had!

We slept with the patio doors open both nights to enjoy the beautiful light of the full moon and the sounds of the coquí and the river down below. We explored the grounds and relaxed by the river on our last morning. We didn’t want to leave!

This was a surprise trip for my husband’s 30th birthday. We travel a lot, and we agree that Yuquiyú is one of the most special places we have been in the world. Thank you for this beautiful experience. We hope to be back.

We just spent an incredibly relaxing week at Yuquiyu at the beginning of March. We enjoyed the gorgeous views of the mountains, the river cascading below and the green all around with splashes of red hibiscus. The treehouses are well designed and fit in so well in the environment. We were seranaded by the sounds of the forest at night and were pleasantly surprised at the lack of mosquitoes! We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the staff who supplied us with fresh fruit for breakfast and have worked so diligently to plant and maintain the landscape. Although most trails were still closed in nearby El Yunque National Forest, some lovely cascades and pools were accessible. The people of Puerto Rico are working hard to recover from Hurricane Maria and now is a good time to support their efforts with your tourism. Beaches, restaurants are open and uncrowded.

This place was a piece of paradise. Everything was perfect and better than we could have envisioned. Waking up felt like we were a world apart and the sounds of nature truly culminated our senses with a feeling of peace and tranquility. From arrival with the lovely fruits, the tea, lemonade, fresh water and all amenities, we felt so welcomed. Fire, the manager, was so friendly and he had everything ready. We went there for a family wedding and had our doubts but from the moment we arrived, everything was amazing. The place was free of bugs, clean, the location, the bathroom, everything was more than we ever imagined. It is a well kept secret and we will return.

Room tip: If you do not like to hike, rent one of the homes on the top side.
