There was some doubts before booking since we are not experienced campers. Turns out it's so well-facilitated there's no worries at all! So glad that we decided to spend two nights here. View is awesome especially from the bathroom. Bugs and wildlife may be a bit noisy and night and one night it got quite hot - but these are exactly what to experience from nature. Mosquitoes wasn't really an issue for us since there were like 3 types of bugs repellent for you to use. Highly recommended!

Few words describe a place where one can get away from the chaos that surrounds our daily life. Yuquiyú feeds the soul through its beautiful natural gardens, the soothing sound of the river and many tropical birds which have made it their home.
Each treehouse is comfortable and equipped with everything one needs to prepare healthy delicious meals. There are ample complimentary provisions so you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast the morning after you arrive. The drive from SJU is 30 minutes and the directions are incredibly easy to follow. There are plenty of grocery stores and amenities 15 minutes from the property. Hiking in the famous El Yunque rainforest is nearby as are many beautiful beaches and attractions and restaurants in the area.
Here are my helpful hints which I hope will enhance your holiday. Set out for your hike in the morning as early as possible. Rain is more likely in the afternoon. Do not miss Angelito trail, a easy hike and La Coco trail a much longer hike, perhaps with Javier as your guide explaining much of the flora and fauna. Consider a late lunch on your way back after hiking and a light easy dinner enjoying the beauty of Yuquiyú. Have a massage with Socorro and have a private yoga session with Jesse. Make sure to do your homework and read thoroughly all the information you will receive from Yuquiyú prior to your arrival. Cut and paste to "Notes" information you want to have handy. You will not want to be wasting precious time on your tablets and phones once you have arrived. If sleeping surrounded by nature is not your thing you can close the windows and doors which are screened and use the fan provided should the sounds of nature be too overwhelming. Don't forget to open up before first light to experience the beauty of morning at Yuquiyú. Don't sell yourself short with only a night or two. This is somewhere you will want to relax and enjoy...Yuquiyú is truly a magical place.

We loved the 2 nights we stayed here. It was quality in the forest. You are in the forest!! We spent the next day at the river at the end of the path. WOW! Perfect get-a-way! Fire was super helpful. Great service.

Located in the heart of the rainforest, this secluded treehouse can't be beat! The owner provides fresh fruit grown right on the grounds and everything you need for a great organic breakfast. There is a stream that runs through the property that we spent a whole day relaxing in and around. The views are absolutely amazing from the deck and shower. The owner is friendly and helpful if you are looking for recommendations.

The views through the open doors of La Cara De Indio are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen, and one of the highlights of my vacation was simply drinking coffee on the bed and watching the dawn break over the misty rainforest in the distance. The grounds and river are simply beautiful. While the property was a little difficult to get to, that is part of the exchange with staying in an area so private and unspoiled.

Some suggestions for future travelers: as with most of the rural parts of Puerto Rico, drive with caution while approaching the property because some of the nearby neighbors leave their dogs outside and they would occasionally sleep in the road or approach the car as I drove past. Also, if you are a light sleeper, consider earplugs, since the coquis and insects are quite loud at night. Also, consider bringing a hairdryer - the wet air in El Yunque will prevent your hiking shoes from air-drying if they get wet.
