My wife and I had two lovely nights in the tree houses here. The views are spectacular and the amenities are spot on. Make sure to schedule some time just to sit and hang out at the tree houses as they are destination in and of themselves. A few notes: pack lightly as it is actually quite difficult to get large amounts of luggage to the treehouse. Have some good indoor outdoor sandals to go to the bathroom and be out on the porch especially if it is the rainy season. Stop at Ralphs Food Mart before coming up the hill to save yourself the trip back to town. We would highly recommend buying groceries and cooking as The Treehouse kitchen is fully stocked and extremely pleasant. The gardening is to die for comma and the management is friendly and Hands-On. As they themselves say this is not a place for everyone. It is a lot more rustic than the average hotel, you are in the woods, you are away from people. If you like a resort The Treehouse is not for you. But if you are a person who loves the outdoors and once a good home base to explore the spectacular El Yunque region could not more highly recommend the tree houses.

This place was beautiful. The views were unbelievable and I never wanted to leave. Martin was so friendly and offered lots of advice on where to eat and visit. He truly loves this place and has a lot of pride it in. If you get he chance, you must stay here. The room was very nice and the shower was hard to leave.

El Yunque getaway! This wonderful place is for people who want to relax, chill or get away from everything!! No TV no phones! (They do have free Wi-Fi and a good cell signal) Great accommodations, views, nature, spectacular bathroom.
B+B with healthy alternatives and you can always cook your own in the kitchenette. (No meat allowed, so skip the bacon!!!)
Martin the owner and concierge :) is a true jewel, always making sure that we were OK and checking if we needed anything very very pleasing and nice to talk to.
In our "room" we had organic lemonade, cashews, lemongrass, for tea as well as Hibisscus, coffee, yougurt, etc..
it is really relaxing. For us two nights was just perfect since we're used to a hectic and active lifestyle.
In brief everything is brand-new extremely safe, wonderful with the birds and the trees and all of nature sounds!
Got rid of my lizard phobia since they're usually hanging around taking care of us but never sae one inside the "room".
Here ate some pictures of our recent stay!
Take comfortable shoes as well as water thingys if you want to go in the river!

Yuquiyu is a great place to stay if you're a little adventurous. There are 2 "tree houses" which are sturdy, well-designed structures with all the details thought through. The room has a refrigerator which is stocked with coconut milk and dairy products. There are ball jars on the kitchen counter with granola, nuts, dates, flowers for tea and coffee grinds (there's a French Press). We ate our granola on the balcony every morning. Martin is the proprietor and he's lovely and helpful. He brought us oranges every afternoon which we squeezed every morning for breakfast. It's dark at night so you need a flashlight to get to your room. And the bathroom is a short walk from the room but very luxurious. The location is pretty central to get to activities on the north and east coast or Puerto Rico. And, obviously, to the rainforest.

We spent 3 nights at Yuquiyu staying in La Cara de Indio treehouse. This is definitely a great place to stay when exploring and enjoying the surrounding rainforest. Martin was an amazing host, making sure we had everything we needed for our stay and providing excellent tips for hiking and exploring the rainforest and nearby towns. The treehouses are newly built with the living area up top and a huge bathroom with an amazing view below. It was great to wake up each morning and open up the big doors to the deck with views of nothing but El Yunque. Breakfast, including nuts, muesli, yoghurt and milk was provided and also homemade lemonade! The kitchen in the treehouse has all the appliances and utensils you need to prepare meals as well. The property also has a creek down below the hillside which was nice to take a dip in after hiking all day. The grounds are beautiful and you can tell that a lot of thought has been put into making it a peaceful and pleasant place to be. Just be aware that you are in nature here, so that includes living with the lizards, bugs and spiders that are about. I would love to come back one day and I will definitely be recommending this place to others.
