They keep opening the kiosks and I've seen some that were not there before. It looks better environment although they do not yet have the platform accessible.

This is an entertaining place to eat, drink and people watch. We had a hard time finding it at night, but once we got there, it was worth the trip. There didn't appear to be a lot of variety in the restaurants that were open, but there as no problem finding exactly what we were looking for to eat. Unfortunately, the boardwalk was closed when we were there due to the hurricane, but a good time was had when all was said and done.

Ponce is like The San Juan put in The South
only more bigger and better
Ponce has a lot to Discover and much to learn
but when it comes to hanging out and relaxing
the Guancha is the place to be
it has a lot of restaurants kiosk
food trucks and a place were you can walk around
a great view of the beach and boats
there is even a place were you can feed the big fish
and also Guancha is the place were Mr Héctor Collazo Hernández
painted the Puerto Rican flag proyect 78 Pueblos 1 Bandera to admire and take pictures
is a really lovely place highly Recommended

Boardwalk is closed due to hurricane damage. There are some food, toy, and souvenir kiosks open and you can feed the fish at the end of the boardwalk. Pretty view of Ponce. That's pretty much it.

I visited La Guancha during the sunset with friends. Great place to walk and to take GREAT PICTURES !! The 2 restaurants available, both had good price, up beat atmosphere, good music. Not much to see because a lot of places were still closed due to the last hurricane.
A very disgusting bathroom and NEEDS to be fixed ASAP - Tango's restaurant bathroom - It is DISGUSTING - I lost my appetite.... I almost threw up after I left the bathroom. That doesn't go well with food !!!!

La Guancha in Ponce is a great place to have some "antojitos". This place offers several kiosks serving different Puerto Rican dishes and appetizers, as-well-as a good variety of drinks. There is always music being played, either by live bands or dj's right in front of the sea water of the Caribbean Sea. There is also an observation tower that let's you see all of La Guancha and the rest of the "marina". It has plenty of parking spaces.

Although is under repairs is a very beautiful area. You can enjoy the cost line in Ponce. Places to share with family. Hydrate while you are there. You can bring bycicles. See the yatch club. Feed the pelicans.

Maria damaged ALL of boardwalk so it will not be opened for 3 years however u can still see EVERYTHING. The views of the harbor are stunning. The kiosks style restaurants (small but have tables) do open daily. Its all worth a visit unless your goal is shopping, not much going on in that case. If you look at my pics u can see the actual boardwalk and the missing rails but you can also see the SAME VIEWS you would see if walking ON the boardwalk

Great place to bring the kids out for weekend Adventures feeding fish, looking at boats, and eating a variety of different street foods from a variety of different vendors.

La Guancha has a lot of construction to be done. After Huracane Maria, the pier is broken and all the board walk is destroyed. It will take some time to visit La Guancha in a safe way.
