The setting is one of a kind and reminds me of a grandmas house from the 50s. Its comforting, good food, generally. Nice people and prices are reasonable.

“Great food”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

The food was excellent and the service was great. My husband and I had the red snapper and it was great. The kids enjoyed their meals also. Soup and an appetizer included with the meal. We enjoyed our conversations and history lesson with the owner. We will eat there on our next trip to Puerto Rico

“Perfect Neighborhood Spot”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

My friend Anibal took me to La Casita Blanca after a day at the Bacardi Factory...and it was awesome.

Open-air dining, great atmosphere and delicious food.
Definitely go for dessert and you will not be disappointed.

The inside waiting area was filled with great 50s music from just about the oldest record player I had ever seen, and the staff was open and helpful and awesome.

highly recommended, although tough to find for us travellers.

“highlight of our trip”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

Pedro from Bajuice recommended we visit La Casita Blanca - we spent our last, rainy afternoon in puerto rico at a table for two on the porch - and it was one of the highlights our our trip. The chicken soup, served in styrofoam cups - delicious. The Bacalaitos brought to our table before we even ordered, spectacular. My stewed chicken - one of the best chicken dishes I've ever eaten, the rum cake (served gratis) was marvelous, the anis in the little plastic cup, the perfect ending. The staff was lovely - explained the menu to us (we speak no spanish) and were warm and welcoming.

“Best Puerto Rican food!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

If you're looking for an authentic place to try Puerto Rican food, La Casita Blanca is the place to go. No fuss - just the real deal. A sopita de pollo (chicken soup) to start the meal, a list of awesome traditional Puerto Rican dishes (mofongo, pastellon, carne frita,...) and a shot of anis liquor to finish with a sweet taste. A spot where locals go that you need to try!
