“Best dining experience in Puerto Rico”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

The atmosphere is warm and inviting especially after being received by Marcos Mercado. The man takes the experience to another level. The food is spectacular. Coupled with Marcos' wine pairings, it was truly a memorable meal. This is arguably the best restaurant in San Juan. Enjoy!

“A Sommelier who knows his food!”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Augusto's Cuisine is the epitome of fine dining, elegance and seamless service. Never have I had poor service or a dish to be returned. Chef/Owner Ariel makes sure of the quality of his restaurant, beginning with the freshest of ingredients and his culinary creations, from the classic to the contemporary; and yesterday's lunch was no exception. But standing out, once again is their sommelier, who runs the FOH - Marcos Mercado. Not only can you place your choice of wines in his hands, as I frecuentely do - asking for the latest wine arrival, or something to surprise me; he is always conscious of price and value - but he also knows his food. To be attended to by Marcos, not only for the wine selection but also for his narrative and description of the menu is a treat which definitely opens the appetite and puts all on the road to pleasure.

“Home Run”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

Here during a tropical storm warning - the governor declared a state of emergency and closed all restaurants and bars outside of hotels. We were going to eat at a place in the neighborhood which we found out was closed when we arrived, this restaurant was in the area so we called an audible and stopped. Ill admit, I was dubious at first since it is in a Courtyard by Marriott (not known for fine cuisine), turned out to be excellent. The food was amazing and fresh. The service was great. It was a tad stuffy inside but roll with it, the staff has a great sense of humor. Could not be more pleased w/ the experience, and given the venue made it even better.
