“Celiac Friendly and Relaxing Atmosphere!”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

We found Tantra after a late flight into Puerto Rico. As my husband is a celiac, finding food he can eat at 10:00 pm is challenging. We had never tried Indian food (this is an Indian-Latin Fusion type place), but walked in, took a seat and a gamble. Our waiter, Ymir, went out of his way to accommodate us. He brought over the owner and they were able to specialize a few different options for him. We took our waiter's recommendations for martini's that would complement our entries. Delicious! Great relaxing & romantic atmosphere. We went to this restaurant twice during our trip and both times were excellent.

“Unexpected cuisine in San Juan!”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

We did not expect to find an Indian restaurant here, but had seen it recommended in a guide book.
The server was very attentive and friendly.
We only had a main course each and both enjoyed them.
My wife also like the Gulab Jamun desert, which is hard to find (in Europe).

“A fantastically exotic culinary experience!”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

I was invited as a birthday present and, indeed, it was a fantastic and exotic culinary and cultural experience. Serviced by Debra we were satisfied with the description of any entre in the menu. The lamb curry was perfect to my spicy taste and the Raita soft and celestial. Dont miss the wide selection of delicious martinis. And remember to ask for the chilli-infused vodka shot at the end of your experience.

“Average Meal”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

Our friends recommended this place for dinner so we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was very nice, food was below our expectations. We ordered tempura artichoke for an appetizer which was a canned artichoke in tempura batter with sauce; humus was ok and the vegetarian spinach entre was very salty though the cheese cubes in it were good. Don't remember what else we ordered there, but certainly not worth a second visit. They do have a long martini list but we didn't try them.

“Fusion indian food”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

We were looking for a choice of both non-vegetarian and vegetarian dinner with an indian touch (Fusion indian + creole) in San Juan. Tantra hit the spot. The samosa's were done to perfection. I couldn't have asked for better tasting lamb chops. My wife loved a vegetarian meal. Kudos to the chef. It is perfect meal.

The ambience is nice and the sevice was excellent.
