Me and my family are sushi fanatics. We even do our own sushi at home. We have tried almost every sushi joint around the metropolitan area ans Jinyas is simply the best.

Dont miss luch special. Best priced bento box! 9.99. Fried rice included! Your choice of sushi and protein. It includes fried banana and spring roll!!

Jinya came to PR a long time ago and rooted here. Master sushi maker, freshest seafood, local traditional Puerto Rican flavors integrated into rolls! Nice eclectic tones on menu. Our favorite sushi place in PR!

I visit this restaurant almost every week, sometimes 2 times a week. There is no place that I know in Puerto Rico and other places that serves a better quality of fish that chef Jinya Igarashi does. It is just amazing the quality of the products served and quantity on the plates too. Chef Jinya Igarashi(Jimmy) will not try to win you with fancy names or strange combinations, he will win you by making your Sushi himself with the best quality of Salmon, Tuna, Sea Urchin, Monk Fish Liver and other that you can find in Puerto Rico Period. Don't expect a fancy restaurant with decors that will ad cost to your plate, it is simple and clean. If you are looking for the best Sushi in Puerto Rico look no further Jinya's is your place.

You need a car or cab to get here, it's in a dicey neighborhood. Inside was clean but smelled like disinfectant. Owner's wife was very sweet, owner/sushi chef kept giving us the hairy eyeball (don't know why). It was a little pricey, we over-ordered (which we do all the time) because we wanted to taste as many things as possible. The rolls were very good, but not excellent. My husband ordered white tuna nigiri which he had to send back, it was fresh, but it was badly cut and so too tough to eat. They gave him another one, which was much better, but I found it a little off-putting that they didn't take it off the bill anyway, that would have been a very kind thing to do considering we are strangers that are new to the place (and now giving it a so-so review). We found the sushi at Cherry Blossom in Condado to be fresher, more simply prepared.
