“Very good Argentine beef”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

In our visits to San Juan over the last few years we had walked past the Buenos Ayres on many occasions during our daily walks around the Condado District of San Juan. Since beef is more common in the States we tend to try local foods on our trips to the tropics. However, on this trip we decided that some beef would hit the spot! Did it ever! The churrasco here was off the scale! The portions were more than adequate and the salads were very good as well. We liked the place well enough to invite our Tarpon guide and his girl friend to eat with us the next night! If you are a beef person this is a restaurant you will want to try!

“Must Read”

If you check a review on May 9th there is a review by someone named TaniaRichy on Buenos Ayres listing it as terrible. I urge you to go to Che's Rest. Same day the same person TaniaRychy writting a review as an excellent experience.... We have been told this type of practice is normal for Che's Managemen what a shame to be so low as to do this type of actions to hurt someone elses business... Yo will be reported to TripAdvisor !!

“Friendly AND tasty!!”

The food was superb!! I started with a crab meat empanada and main course was the Argentinian sausage, steak and chicken sandwich. Had some left ove, it was so good.

“Terrible Customer Service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

The food was great but man, the customer service downed the food. The employees were missing, and slow. When I commented it to my friends, they all told me that the bad service lowered the great food that they serve...what a shame

“Vibrant Restaurant with Good Food and Average Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

We saw this restaurant on our cab ride in to our hotel in Condado. Our concierge mentioned an Argentine Restaurant and we decided to give it a try.
Inside seating was quite loud (hard surfaces, no acoustic dampening) despite the restaurant being half full, so we chose to dine outside. (The traffic at night is entertainment in itself)
Monday, if half-priced wine night, so we enjoyed vino with our meal. My wife had Beef Tips (with Sweet Plantains) and I elected to have the Fish Mofongo. Both meals were flavorful and good-sized portions.
The servers were friendly and gave good service, but the service was slow. They were not busy, so there was no real reason for this.
Great restaurant for couples or a social meal.
