Pastries are monumental. They also have entrees which are pretty good. Obama had a media noche here when he visited!

I really can't bring myself to spoil it for you. If you're staying near Condado, Ocean Park, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Florida... You should walk/bike/drive/swim for a sandwich at Kasalta sometime.

Forget their baked goods, deli, coffee, soup and Obama-has-been-here-ads... Just grab a steak sandwich and sit by yourself to enjoy it in peace, away from prying eyes/hands. It is among the list of the best things I have ever ate.

We wandered into this bakery on the recommendation of our hosts at Tres Palmas, not expecting a lot, and found a really authentic, home-town atmosphere filled with the friendliest patrons and delightful foods! The guests were enjoying everything from pastries to wine to sandwiches to cheeses and more. It's history is anchored in the community....we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and delicious food. Ready to come back!

This place has been around for ever!! seriously!, Even presiden Obama ate a sandwich here last year or so. It located in the beautiful area of Isla Verde, with pleny of scenery to walk around. A bit pricy and not kid friendly.

It is confusing and intimidating, but you want to learn it, you want to belong. There are different lines for different things and a hundred people behind the counter. Just order a medianoche and a coffee, nod and sit down, pretend to read paper, but really eavesdrop other conversation.
