This was our first real meal in Puerto Rico. It's located in Old San Juan across from the Casablanca Hotel and was a great treat. The service was impeccable, and the food was amazing. For an Old San Juan stay or visit - Marmalade is a fun place to visit and a treat for the culinary palette. The chef even came out to give us recommendations for our longer stay on Vieques - all which were great.

We came as a group of 38 people, as Pitter the Chef owner told us in advance "do not worry your customers will do more business with you after this dinner" and that to say the list. We took the tasting menu all the appetizers were flowing to the tables, our guest had to choose the main course. Peter recommended red wine Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma, 2009 which was outstanding, and the Kumeu River, Kumeu, New Zealand, 2009 top 100 chardonnay year in year out. Visit the restaurant web page and see all the menu. SUPERB !!! Service is super as well and Pitter is out to make sure every customer get his right attention. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE !!!

My boyfriend and I had four dishes we split between the two of us. Ceviche and spaghetti squash appetizers. The ceviche is amazing. It comes with circular disks of fries plantains, delicious! The spaghetti squash with cashews is light and healthy. Cooked in coconut milk instead of butter so you don't feel too guilty for eating it. He had the Seanad and risotto. Tender and moist center and crispy outside. I had kale salad topped with lobster. The salad wasn't kale, it was arugula rather. For dessert the no no cake was ok and the bread pudding was over salted. Everything else was great! Try the jimmy hendrick's cocktail!

Everything from the impeccable service, the cocktail and food creations and presentations to the atmosphere was superb. Our waiter, Danny, knew the menu as if he had created it himself. It was evident the staff took great pride in their restaurant and in their care for guests. One person in our party of four did not order an appetizer, and so he didn't feel left out, our waiter and the chef brought him a complementary soup which was out of this world! The delicious food and even better service made our experience exceptional!
